HEy guys, i've been lifting on and off for a while and now i want to make it a lifestyle. i have read through countless of threads and used search for most of my questions, but i have one. which is more effective in measuring weight loss? (measuring with a measuring tape or using a scale) when on a muscle building regiment. i currently am over weight and i am looking to loose the weight by muscle building training, i have a solid stack of vitamins, creatine, protein and all that other good stuff. thanks for the time

a scale is not a good measure because if you lose fat and gain msucle you will probably be heavier, the important thing is changing your body composition and either use the mirror and/or calipers to measure bodyfat loss.

Few more questions

where are the calipers?

what is decent rest time between sets)? ( i heard 90secs between sets, for mass building)

and should i add cardio at the end of each workout? ( 30 - 45 min)

sorry for the follow ups, should of put them in main post

You can find Body Fat Callipers at GNC or web stores like http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/acc/accu.html

These additional questions have been answered one way or another. You should view many of the entries/stickies in the training forum. There is no right answer to these but there are plent of wrong answers. Read up and enjoy.
