I know what the sensation of getting your muscle at the state of maximum burn is. Every week i work on my chest i always get it and i keep going till i cant take the pain anymore. Those by the way are the last 2 sets i do for my chest.

My question is is that i can never seem to get the same feeling in my arms. i get it in my triceps. but my biceps is a problem. I get the feeling of it being pumped up when all the blood rushes in but i cant seem to get the burning sensation. is it my technique? or is it that everyone doesnt get that feeling? I used to get it a long time ago but it doesnt happen anymore. Ive tried many different techniques and its not that im doing the same thing over and over.

And sadly im not genetically gifted to be built:( damn genetics i wish they didnt count. I came to that conclusion after reading about how genetics plays a major part. That still hasnt stopped me from working out. It makes me feel good. but can anyone help me out. unless the blood rushing into the arms is the feeling you should get? im confused help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want burn then do 20+ reps, of course it wont build serious muscle but if you want burn thats what you need to do.

Hey greatone - I can empathize with you. I???ll trade you ??? I can???t get the burn in my chest but can get it in the bicep. But I know what my problem is there (some form issues, shoulder limited in what I can press not really pec limited).

I use to not be able to get ???the burn??? in the bicep until I figured out that I was sneaking shoulder into the motion. Try concentration curls or preacher curls and if you even think that you are yanking it with your shoulder drop the weight and go higher reps. Really focus on keeping your shoulder soft and relaxed and don???t even think about the bicep until you convince yourself that the shoulder is fairly neutral. See if absolute perfect form with a strong flex-and-hold at the peak of the motion does not burn you up. I do this in the 12 rep range for about 3 sets then when fatigue starts dipping into the 8-10 rep range I start running the rack ??? declining my weights all the way down with maybe 15 secs between each successive drop in dumbbell size. I am not an expert but this works for me. Arms are toast for 2 days and I got some fairly fast growth and thickness (2 weeks). It???s terrific feeling to go shopping at the store and not be able to lift your bag of groceries into the car ??? but that is what wifes :) :slapself: are for.
