Hello Everyone,

My name is Ana Paret and I'm from Ontario, Canada. I have been overweight all my life. That stops now. Actually, more preciously on January 9th, 2006. I have had enough of being overweight and never living to my fullest potential. Watch out everyone....this one Wild Canadian Gal is about to be unleashed upon ya'll!! :chomp:

When I first began to focus my energies on a healthy lifestyle, this question was posed to me in a moment of self-doubt. I was carrying on about how I had 101 lbs to lose. I was 'crying me a river of ... oh woe is me'.....and he asked me this question.

How do you eat an elephant?
I so didn't get it....HELLO...are you listening....
I'm telling you how much I need to lose...and this is insane...what am I thinking....and you are asking me a riddle question...pleasssseeee....

But I got it.

Four weeks later I got.
Yep, I wee bit slow on the draw.

How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.
One exercise session at a time, if need be 'one foot in front of another' on that treadmill at a time.
One meal at a time....
One set at a time, one rep at a time....
One day at a time....just 24 hours... then do it again tomorrow.....

I got it....

I also got.....that I sat on my butt and ate my way to 226 lbs.
I also got.....that the last 4 weeks of concentrated effort I have slid down the scale to 216 lbs and have lost all together 12 inches.....

I got it.

How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.

These are my bites.

I'm so glad I found this forum....I have a feeling I will be finding and utilizing alot of resources here!!!

Yours...Unleashed,
Ana Paret
