GH, Funk, if we kicked out all the illegals our already failing economy would implode. They do the shit no1 else wants to do, like farm labor, construction, fast food, etc.
Like I said in a prior thread, kicking them out isn't going to fix this problem. The only solution is to fix Mexico and Central America's standard of living and poverty problems so that they don't feel inclined to come get a better life over here.

I think my views have become pretty obvious. I have several hispanic friends w/ illegal relatives and this affects them. I just don't think that America can fix this problem on their own, there will always be a way to get in, or else America would be drug-free, illegal-less, and have 2 more towers in NYC.

Maybe when there is no demand for their labor, they will stop coming. Seems to me that while many 'Americans' will throw up their hands and conclude they need welfare, others are traveling through the desert to take jobs that Americans won't do.
I don't understand how people can complain about outsourcing, about a low minimum wage, and about the lack of support for the 'poor' in this country, and then also complain about illegal immigrants. The fact is that the vast majority of the 'poor' in this country don't have a marketable skill that is worth $5.25/hour, hence the outsourcing, hence the thousands of people risking their lives traveling through the desert to fill positions that a welfare recipient believes they are too good for.

on the other hand, I don't think someone who pays no taxes should be getting government funded healthcare...etc.
