Maybe in your perfect world everyone will get paid $12/hour to flip burgers, but that just isn't reality. Its called a 'marketable skill.' People go tens of thousands of dollars in debt every year in this country to get an education, and then others get a job straight out of highschool and expect $12-15 per hour. I agree that some unions are to blame for this situation to some degree. It would have been better to deal with them than to violate the Preamble of the constitution. The idea that a buss driver or a guy screwing a bolt on a car makes 70K made/makes me want to puke.

I saw on TV yesterday a woman was being interviewed (she was a protesting outside). Her response was that she trying to give her family a better life and that the government is trying to stop her. I hate it when criminals turn the blame on someone else and try to make the government and law enforcement "evil".

I am all for her trying to make a good life for herself and family, if she does it legally. Hell, I am broke and can't afford to raise a family, so why don't I go do some insider trading, or launder some money, or become a drug dealer and make some real cash? BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL AND FOR GOOD REASON!!!

The laws are there for a reason, and people who violate them should be punished!!! Plain and simple.

The bourgeoisie became the wealthy of Europe. The true middle class came years later, but the foundation was set by the bourgeoisie. Actually, the seeds that they planted came to haunt them later.

Talk to an economist or someone who understand the underpinnings of economy of middle class. It's generally accepted that the middle class started with the Black Plague. It killed so many peasants that for the first time in history (at least in Europe) the supply of laborers exceeded demand and could get higher wages. This low demand of laborers wasn't (and isn't) static, its fluctuated over the years (e.g. The early 1900s in the US), but is the basis for the middle class.
