how long does creatine last?

I was digging around in the pantry and found a unopened 2 pound jar of creatine. I think it is about 3 years old. What do you think is it still good?

I have heard that creatine will absorb water from the air changing its structure into something else (creatinine??) that does nothing and could be rough on the kidneys . I have not heard of it going toxic or anything like that. Oh, no expiration date, that is why I asked. Not knowing how old this stuff is, it is getting flushed.

I think it should be fine. Is it still powdery or is it clumpy? You mentioned it was sealed/unopened so I'd assume it couldn't absorb moisture from the air.
