how long till abcess forms?? took shot and had pain/red instantly

took a shot in my delt yesterday and it felt super painful just going in but i went with it anyways and proceeded to inject. few minutes later a small lump formed and its red in the area. today the lump is gone but its still hurting. just want to make sure this sounds like inflammation or i hit a bad spot. this seems too quickly formed to be an abcess right??ly
 
I wouldn't sweat it bro,iv had similar experience atleast 5-6 times, there has been occasions I've had a lump on my glute was to painfull to sit on and stayed there for 3 weeks.

I'm not sure why causes it tho I'm begining to think it has something to do with the needle size although you could of caught a vein or its the gear itself the BA content, I had some test e ages ago and it always hurt no matter what I did.

I found using slin pins helped.

Warm the gear under a tap aswell and have a shower first if possible all little things that help.

Don't sweat it, it happens.

What are you pinning just out of curiosity? I'f it's a longer acting ester then you will most likely be pinning twice a week, I would rotate from Glutes to quads. Just my opinion hope it helped.
 
thanks man...ive had something similar happen 1 other time and was paranoid then also haha. i think it was the needle tho because there was alot of pain before any gear even went in. plus it was a larger needle then usual. pinning prop, tren e, and mast prop so ive been doing eod. been using shoulder more often than usual tho because glutes are a pain in the ass and quads are kinda out of the question since ive had bad experiences haha

had that happen the first time in 9 months, i pinned in my quad and about a minute or 2 i had a nice lump, so i massaged it for a few minutes and it went down considerably within 30 seconds so i kept massaging it till it was gone.
 
Ibuprofen and heat...do not massage any potential abscess...this can cause a much larger issue...just lay a heat pad on it...
 
I've got a delt that I haven't been able to pin, cause a few weeks ago it lumped up after like my body was trying to incapsulate it ? It's almost totally gone now, and gonna hit it soon. Shit happens NBD.

norm it would be like next day/s for somthing like that, not right away after pinning.

haha same here! I can feel it now, its alot smaller then a few weeks ago. just let it sit and body break it down.

pinnign too opfen in same spot cna caus ethis or form built up scar tissue OR too much oil in every shot/per shot.

Probably just hit too close to a nerve. The brachial plexus runs through there. Delta are innervated pretty heavily.

I know for a fact I pinned some improperly filtered gear once, the source even contacted me and said it should be returned because he just found out the filters used were the wrong micron size and had been shipped to him accidentally. Anyway it was painful almost immediately and for about 36 hours after, I had a small fever and stupidly didn't seek any medical attention. I took some amoxicillin right away and it turned out ok and disappeared on its own lol



Most times its just a bad reaction, you may have pinned on or near a nerve, in between muscles etc. If it isn't warm to the touch and you have no fever you are most likely fine. If your temp goes up or the problem persists more than two days and seems to get worse instead of better you should absolutely see a doc. IMO temperature is the big indicator, your body knows an infection right away and will cause a fever to try and get rid of it, thats your cue to get on some antibiotics ASAP if you have them!
 
Heat...fever...red bumps etc are all good signs of a septic abscess...the issue is when guys get a sterile abscess and either wait or dick around trying to rub/massage it...flip side of a sterile abscess is what caused it...was something injected that is dangerous if left alone for a long term..if you get a abscess sterile or unsterile or you don't know...get it looked at by a surgeon...I didn't once..and now I have a hole in my quad the size of a 1/2 dollar...
 
Poorly filtered or improperly filtered gear is common place and sadly an accepted practice, this doesn't mean the gear doesn't work or is under dosed. It only means the "cook" doesn't do and or know how to complete all of his job correctly, or just doesn't give a shit.
It is a nasty trend amongst UGL and homebrew cooks. I am speaking from experience, I have injected dirty gear and so have many of you, this doesn't cause you to end up in surgery every time. Your body can and does fight infection, most of the time your body wins.
Here are some signs which are visible when infection is attacking you:
redness, swelling, skin around injection area is tighter than normal, pain, PIP, lethargic, even nausea. You don't have to have notice all these symptoms for an infection to be present. These accepted and justified symptoms are most likely from dirty or in-correct filtering/brewing of ugl and homebrews.
 
Same thing happened to me on sunday, pinned a little high on the delt and hit a nerve possibly. Hurt for 2 days.
