how many times do you go to the theatre

I think the last movie I saw in the theater was Insomnia

i go every sunday.

I'm in DOMS' court on this one. When I had to pay to watch a commercial that's when I said no mas. I've had to slap around a couple Mexican punks outside the theater in Round Rock so it's also about personal comfort too.

I dont know. I complain a lot. I mean, a LOT. People piss and moan just about my pissing and moaning, but it takes replies like Bone's and DOMS's to know that there are worse cases out there. :)

Considering everytime I sit next to you in a theater you proceed to rip farts through the first half hour...

He's marking his territory.....

It varies, mainly on the summer selection. Not including summers, I go maybe 1-3 times a year. Some summers, I would go to the theatre a lot, even going to the same movie more than once (which I really hate to do).

hmmm, I thought alot of you guys were big movie-goers, guess not.

So did I. There are usually multiple pages for movie threads. At least, I know I am one of em!

You have been IM's recent gem, you always come through.

One big reason I don't like going to the theatre is because I like to be alone and concentrate on a movie when I watch it. Unless it is a comedy or something of that nature.

I don't like having people around me. Movie watching is a personal experience, damn it.

However, going to the movies and having the entire theatre to yourself is very cool.

Ive gone alone sometimes. I dont mind it either, but in our society thats considered loser-ish..

I don't consider it loser-ish at all. I recently had a conversation about this. It was unbeknownst to me before the convo that alot of people viewed it that wauy. They said they would never go to the movies alone. In most cases, that is exactly what I would want to do.

^ same here. I used to watch alot more when the basic Encore channel was given on regular cable. Now I get digital, but they don't have any Encore channels! You have to pay for them all now.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
I rarely go, I usually wait till it's on DVD.

But I want to take my kids there to get them out of the heat.

Trouble is now my girls are getting bigger......and now I seem to have guys are paying more attention to them.

This tuesday we took them to see the Simpsons and and it was empty....sure enough I get a 4 punks tying to rap to them. The girls were seated behind us so Min0 had to let them know they are with us.

I remember 2 Seinfeld episodes that had a quick little duet about the theater.

One scene talked about how its pointless to bring someone to a movie. You cant talk to the other person during the movie nor can you watch the movie for them. How does bringing someone with you increase the level of enjoyment?

Another scene talked about where to sit in a movie. I think it was Kramer who wanted to sit next to Jerry and and Jerry said "if we were watching a movie at my house, would we sit right next to each other?"

There was a 3rd scene with George that I already touched on and thats when George wanted to watch Home Alone at Jerry's. When asked why doesnt he watch it at home, George said, "well if I watch it at home, I dont feel like I am doing anything, but here, at least I am out of the house."

Plotless conversations, but interesting points nonetheless.

I don't like to go to the movies alone because I need someone to share the experience with and talk to about it when it's over. I find the previews much more entertaining if I can pull a Dane Cook and have movie critic time with a friend or girlfriend after each one. Someone to look over at after something cool happens and give them the "how awesome was THAT?" look, or if a movie is dragging on I can look at them and give them the "are you as hideously bored as I am?" look.

Movie theaters, I mean you pay to go and there's a lot of people there most of the time... I want to have a friend there amongst all those people otherwise I feel somewhat out of place. To me it rates up there with dressing up and going to a nice resturaunt by myself. It just doesn't feel right even if the food is good.

Ill go one further and say its nice to go with someone for the same reason a person would travel to a beautiful place and then wish theyd share the scenic moment with someone.

Ive always had a fetish to see if a person reacts to a movie the same way as I do. Its even more interesting to see if you react to a movie at the same time as another does. Even when you react in the opposite way, it generates interest...even in an arguement.

I go about once a year. I haven't really been into movies in a while, and most of everything that comes out is crap anyway. I usually wait and see other people's critic of the movie, and if they say it is any good, I download a screener on bit torrent.

I never went to a drive-in, I sure wish I did.

But in todays society we would all wind up getting carjack while at the theaters.

There's a drive in theater here in wichita. I've never been to it I'm not much for watching a movie while I'm sitting in my car the whole time. Plus the sound can't be nearly as good as the 12 speaker surround in a major screening room.

I went a few times when I was a kid, I remember you'd have to take the softball size speaker off the little hanger and find a place for it in the car. Haha, someone was always too close and got blasted and everyone else was either fine or couldn't hear it very well.

I'm going to see The Bourne Ultimatum tonight, anyone else?

Only been 4 times this year, that's about average for me.

Pan's Labyrinth - awesome
28 Weeks Later - this really had potential but seemed like a pointless sequel
Grindhouse - undecided, the first half was really long and kind of aggravating and the second half was a bit "chatty". I need to see them again separately.
Transformers - awesome

i love movies.. i used to go to 1-2 movies a week, but now its about every other week or 3x's a month.

nothing else to do in utah
