How much did you pay for your gym membership? Condition of your gym?

:)

for $32/month I can train at any Gold's in the US. most of the stuff is in good to new condition at all of the Gold's here in Vegas

I got three decent gyms over here.

One I paid about $400 for one year but everything is beat down.
The other one is a super small and is asking for $450 for one year.

The one I am looking at is $599 for one year. Everything is new and got shit load of equipment, basketball court, cardio equipment...or $200 down payment and $40 monthly.

24$ a month, it's a fitness gym. New equipment, but it's all useless. We don't have a leg press or T-bar row, and the squat rack safety pins aren't adjustable (no rack deads or lock outs for me).

I have a home made "gym". With the used Weider Home System I bought , I probably have 300 total invested.

My gym is great!

I go to a gym called Harveys, it is locally owned, I pay $33 a month for both my husband and myself, all the equipment is in great shape, and it also includes tanning...my only complaint is that they only have one set of each dumbell, and usually when I need a certain poundage, someone else has it...other than that, I have never been to a better gym...BILLIE:wave:

Home gym, probably payed between 4 and 5 grand for all the stuff I have now. Took a while to build it up though, not all at once. Good part is that I pay no membership fees, the equip stays in good shape, and I can work out in the nude if I feel like it.

I live in a small town with only one gym, so basically they monopolize on that.

Our membership is $55 for a couple, $45 for one, which is ridiculous if you ask me.

LAM.....which Gold's do you go to? I think my brother goes to the one on Desert Inn (?) or maybe Sahara, I cant remember.

For about $11,000 a year, I get to workout on non-holiday's from 5 a.m. until 12 p.m. Oh and I can attend class and get a degree if I feel like it.

I pay 15$ a month, and have access to all gyms that 24hour fitness owns in the US.

Its because the small gym I used to go to, was bought out. 24hour was kind enough to honor my membership. I do miss the small hole in the wall I used to go to though.. it was hardcore.

You are so lucky they honored your membership.

My gym doesnt even have a paved parking lot.

LOL Thats bad. Well, if it makes you feel any better, when I lived in AR the gym I went to was one of those half round metal buildings. There was no AC, and they would have the doors open with big fans blowing.. all while it was 100* out, and 100% humidity!

I know exactly what your talking about (humidity). Our gym is made out of Metal bldg, the AC, never keeps up (keep in mind this is a new facility, bldg and all) if its 70 outside its 80 or higher in the gym.

At least ya'll had fans. We have one fan in the cardio area. It sucks!

my main gym is on Lake Mead & Buffalo in Summerlin. and the other one that I go to is further North on Craig. The one on Sahara is good also but traffic sucks on that road and around that whole area.

I think the one on Buffalo is the one my ex and his fiance work out at, you may know him.

and yes traffic is horrible around sahara

Where did you graduate?

I'm an East Coaster, I went to Drexel for grad school in good old Philly.

I pay 10 dollars a month for planet fitness (used to be world gym). They ran a special at work trying to get members to join. I get access to 5 gyms on the coast of CT. Conditions are pretty good equipment wise but the locker room blows, people keep ripping the doors off of the locked lockers to steal things. Oh and too many high school kids working out in groups of 5, bullshitting and hogging the benches.

I had spent less than 1K on my home gym and loved training whenever, wearing whatever, but I was getting frustrated with my lack of equipment, so I joined a new gym last week. $32/month, its open 'til midnight daily...The equipment is about 5-10 yrs old, the place is small, hardcore and filled with guyz who are larger than the entrance door! I like it!

I pay $135/month for me and the wife. The gym is in fantastic shape.

$0 as I run the corporate program thru work, but for other coworkers it's $325 cdn, and it's an awesome gym, big, lots of windows, clean, a big variety of equipment..then you go to the other side of two, pay the same $$ and you workout in a small basement with old equipment

$59 for the first month, $28 for each additional. Powerhous of newbaltimore Michigan.

$10/month for a big gym with lotsa shit.

I think i'ma switch to Gold's though. It's good cuz it's huge, has tons of shit and is brand new, but the downfall is it's very expensive and 15-20min away (current gym is 5min away)

25 bucks a month at 24 hour..shit load of equipment 2..almost never have to wait for anything

$350 per year for the local town gym. It has in the last few years added everything that it needs, and it being two minutes away makes it the perfect gym for me.

There is a lifetime fitness that all my freinds belong to that is half an hour away and costs over a thousand dollars for the first year, and 750 each year after that. Not only that, since I go on vacation for two months in the summer, I am wasting 150 dollars as I wouldn't go there. It's unbelievable.
