I Work out 5-6 days a week I have a 3 day push pull split that I normally hit twice a week. Should I take a rest day inbetween days?Maybe do a little light cardio and abs on the rest days? I'm making gains but maybe I would make more with more rest thrown in?
-Also If I'm trying to go for mass and strength is my 10-8-6-4 bigger faster stronger rep range program really my best option or would I be better off going for lower rep ranges?

That's definitely old school ala Arnold type training. You won't have much time to recover and grow training bodyparts that often. Once a week per bodypart seems to be very common these days. I cycle my bodyparts over 5 - 7 days. Never less than 5. You have to give your joints a holiday and bare in mind that the shoulder and elbow joints will be hit 4 days a week on your program as you use them for all upper body exercises.

However, it's an interesting question as no one can really give you a definitive answer on the best training frequency because age, genetics, drug use, nutrition, sleep etc will all come into the equation.

I train twice a week full body and make consistent gains. Any more, and I hit plateaus very quickly. In my opinion, the higher your weights get, the more rest between training you need.

How old are you? How long have you trained? How long have you been making consistent gains? Why do you feel the need to train bodyparts so frequently?

I make consistent gains on bodyparts being trained once a week, but without any doubt twice a week would kill my progress.

I agree with the mass, if your training real heavy those rep rages are pretty good. I would definalty take a rest day in between all of them. I've known guys that made good gains with something like you described, but they were advanced, I don't know you history.

as for myself I've been doing DC style training for the past 6 weeks. I love it (I come from a HIT background)
