How to take pills?

Okay so in my ON Opti-Men bottle it says consume 3 tablets daily with food. Does this mean take all three at once or divided through out the day? What is better and are there any disadvantages to either or? How do you take em?

if they contain water soluble vitamins (e.g. B and C) you would be better off diving the doses into 3... 1 tablet at breakfast, lunch , dinner.
