Has anyone ever pulled abdominal muscle(s) doing tricep push downs? (cable/V-bar deal) Did it again today. (No,no, I'm not hitting my beer gut with the bar!) Symptoms=Burning sensation that originates @ the base of my sternum and radiates laterally.
how are you doing the pushdowns? are you bent at the waist?
a friend of mine was doing them while slightly bent at the waist... and it was hitting his abs like that. he just stiffened up and did them standing straight up, elbows straight with the side of the body, and it went away.
I usually stand up fairly straight and relatively close to the cable when using the V-bar. If I use the offset bar I might stand a little further away. I think I'm pregnant.
