drinking coffee..

I mean cutting the head of someone and attaching to a different body.

Before making your post, you should know that it was already successful with animals. Specially monkeys 30 years ago. Experiences were made in Europe and US. Sure it was not a complete tranplant because even today you cant fix broken spinal cords. But the monkey survived like a paralyzed person for days, moving eyes and trying to bite. Finally dying because the body rejected the head.

Sure, it'd be easy.

Them being able to function or live is another story. :)

I don't know how it would be possible. The brain does control all the body functions. A heart wood stop beating and the body would essentially die before the head could even be transplanted. Without blood to the brain, the brain TO "dies"

This happens during some heart surgeries, they stop the heart and the blood pools dorsally(whatever way they are laying). You could always do some sort of freezing technique to preserve the parts.

True.

over time it would be, but the problems are matching up all the nerves arteries veins etc..., co-ordination would have to be relearnt, the head could be rejected, and the biggest problem would be the spinal cord.

otherwise, its no biggy.

Seeing a head get chopped off is gross. remember when that video of the hostage was released of him getting his head chopped off.
He was like yelling and gurgling on blood. I wanted to cry

Perhaps. We can make nerves regrow and we can graft artificial organs into people and they will live.

eg: Iron lung

Besides the anatomical and physiological factors...this would be extremely fucked up.

you just looking for a easy way to a good body without working out?? :D

In like five years we be able to get replacement parts at the drive thru. "I'll take two kidneys and a heart- to go."

...and a side of intravenous nutrient injectibles.

I might donate my kidney to my little sister

Yah there's something wrong with her kidneys. She's had like 3 bladder infections and she's only 3 years old. They found problems with it when she was born...so if it is neccessary, I'll give her one of mine

Wouldn't your sister have to wait until she is older or can you get a kidney transplant at 3?

Yep. Mind you, She doesn't need one yet, but if things get worse, in time, then I'll give up one.

I think she can get the transplant at that age but not from an adult. The kidney would be too big.

Well i saw a program on the discovery channel of a dad giving his 6 year old a kidney

You can't give much more than one of your organs! That's pretty awesome that you would do that.

Could have to do with messy(not cleaned properly)..umm..unmentionables.
