right now I am pretty skinny weighing about 120lbs. I want to get some mass or have a toned and "cut" look. You think doing pullups/chinups will help me devolop strong shoulder, pecs, and arms? Or should I stick to dumbell training?

Eat, eat some more, and then eat even more!

Chinups are not going to do much for your shoulders and pecs. They are a back exercise that also work your biceps somewhat.

I was smaller than you at your age. If you do have a higher than normal metabolism, thats even more reason to eat more. There's no getting around that.

how does ur diet look like? well if u want to get big u hafta eat more than what uve bin eating so far.. try calculating how many calories ur body need to sustain growth.. and gradually add 300-500 more calories to that if u wanna grow (id say 1700 calories)..

another possiblity for gaining weight is to use weigh powder, which u can get at any nutrition store.. but real food works best!!

count your calories. Try a certain amount of calories for a week. If you don't gain weight then add 500 calories. Try that for a week. Not gaining any weight? Add another 500 calories. Find a good diet tracker...I use www.fitday.com
