Ever since falling in love with Mixed Martial Arts a few years ago I have slowly lost complete touch with my former loves of the NFL & NBA. I've gone from a virtual stat bank to essentially clueless. I will have to see how good my muscle memory is in regards to becoming a loyal fan once again. My work schedule and DVR will at least allow it now. Besides, after quitting drinking earlier this year I need something to kill the time:thumb:

I think my loss of interest also had a lot to do with the horrible falls from grace both of my life-long favorite teams took. Those teams being the San Francisco 49ers and Orlando Magic. Been fans of both for as long as I've known about the sports. So for my age that means since the days of Joe Montana and the dynamic duo of Scott Skiles and Nick Anderson down in Orlando, pre Shaq!

Both teams have lost player after incredible player and gone downhill year after year during my absense from watching games. I don't even need to list them all.

Also was a huge fan of video games for these sports, Madden and NBA Live on playstation, etc... Well now the PS3 is about to be released and because the games look so entertaining I'm going to be buying one shortly after it comes out. In order to get myself more excited about the new sports games (Madden 07 / NBA Live 07 / ETC) I plan to resume following the NFL and NBA religiously like I once did.. I'm doing this mainly because I see no Mixed Martial Arts game on the horizon for any system and I must justify the $600.00 USD price tag on the machine.

So the point of my rant is in the topic. I think backwards and my teams suck. It's not going to be a good year to start watching games again but I'm going to do it anyway. Luckily for me I guess neither of my teams will be getting much TV time and I don't have NFL Sunday Ticket so I won't have to watch every single painful loss.
