Pride doesn't have as high quality fighters as the UFC.
We could disagree on who is better and who is overrated forever and still not settle anything. But, numbers don't lie. :thumb:

Silva just got killed! If that's how much he's improved, I'm not impressed. Chuck would own him. :rocker:

You know nothing about MMA.

99% of PRIDE fighters would destroy their UFC counterparts.

Silva got killed by Cro Cop, and since he has evolved, so is everyone else with the exception of the best fighter in the entire world, Fedor.

You're telling me Fedor, Cro Cop, Nog, or Shogun aren't as good as UFC fighters?

You're delusional, they would destroy any UFC fighter, and fuck a weight class.

Could you find it in your heart to forgive me Mr. All-Knowing MMA Guy? BTW, I know a bit more than you think I do. ;)
Anyway, you took my post out of context. I never said the specific fighters you listed aren't as good as UFC fighters. I said, "Pride doesn't have as high quality fighters as the UFC." That's a general statement and it is a fact. The fighters you named are great...no doubt about it. But overall, the UFC has more quality fighters than Pride.
Check Silva's stats against UFC fighters...I posted it already.

Who cares what Silva's UFC record is? That's from 3-6 years ago. He's changed since then, and that still proves absolutely nothing.

Name some UFC fighters that can prove your theory that UFC has better fighters. Just because you have never heard of a PRIDE fighter does not mean they aren't a "quality fighter," whatever the hell that means. :banned:

Ortiz was ahead on all three judges scorecards against Frank Shamrock, then he got stupid.

Babalu was Liddell's BEST competition? WOW! Babalu is so overrated it's not even funny, just like most Pride fighters. He hasn't beaten anyone.

As for Silva, he's been beaten by everyone including Ortiz and Belfort. Good thing he isn't fighting Chuck this year...he would have come out of that fight even uglier. :D

LMAO, the judges must have been blind then. There is no way he was ahead any of the fight. Ill find the full video later but check this clip of the fight- http://us.share.geocities.com/nhbtv1/shammyvstito.mov

what happened to mark kerr the fucking drug addict??

 We get it. You do not like UFC.

ufc isn't as exciting

i dislike ufc rules. pride's rules are top notch, they let them fight.

Also i believe UFC fighters have a different approach to their fights. Instead of trying to escape when they are being pummeled by elbows, fists, etc. they lay there and wait for the ref to jump in.

I view Pride as more of a "slugfest" style of fighting with very little reguard to the safety of the combatants, and UFC more of a "chessmatch" where defense and safety are higher priorities. I can definitely see where one would say Pride is more exciting. That being said, I sure would like to see more of it on basic cable. Until that happens, UFC will reign supreme here in the States.

Yup.

And lol @ all the clowns arguing over which Fighting Championship is better and which fighters would destroy who. Shows true lack of knowledge of MMA. Keep speculating cause until you see these fights happening, there's not point in bitching. For all the old school cats, we know that there have been tons of fighters from both the UFC and PRIDE that have been in both and won and lost to both good and shitty people. So it's not as easy as just picking a better one.

You're right, numbers don't lie. Rampage beat Liddell so that makes him better than any light heavyweight in the UFC.

Silva got knocked out by Cro Cop. When 2 great striking fighters get together someones gonna get cracked. If they fought tomorrow, nobody would be surprised if Wand cracked Cro Cop open.

Your putting down the competition Babalu fought in the UFC, yet saying the UFC has more quality fighting. :hmmm: He's not ducking anyone, he fought whomever they put in front of him. Yes, I think Liddell is the class of the UFC, but after that who could compete with the top light heavyweight fighters in Pride. I don't think Griffin is there yet, and I'm not sure about Tito after a questionable victory over Griffin and this saga with Shamrock. He needs to prove himself.

Good points. I thought Griffin did very well with Tito and that left me wondering where this "badass" was in Tito's place. And hopefully this saga will end in Oct once and for all...unless he loses..?

Oh and that quote from Tyson. I laughed my ass off at it, but then I wondered if you put it there for real sarcasm..:bulb:
