I'll admit I'm very naive to the cost of running a board like this but what could it cost? You have no employees to pay. I guess you would have to pay for bandwidth and the domain. What else is there? Maybe an artist to setup the site? Again, in all seriousness I have no clue.
It's not like a brick and mortar establishment that has a crazy amount of overhead, right?

It is very hard and alot of work, it takes more than one or two people to do it. I have watched more than one site die because the Mods and Administrator didn't bother to put any time into the site. I know a friend who strated a BBing site as said it was only a couple hundred of dollars. But hell I don't know as I don't know shit about the internet except how to piss people off....and I sometimes do a good job at it.
