Incredible squat form - 295kg ATG

:clapping:

Holy shit! The output to weight ratio is nuts. The only other person that I have seen that could beat that were some of those turkish lifters that Pfunk posted some months back.

I was just thinking as this guy who doesnt look like he could lift much more than his bw picked up this bar, theres no way that bar is goin to crush him! The bar had one hell of a bend also.

lawl, I saw this video last night for the first time. Olympic squats are for the win. Awesome ROM.

A flawless 650 lbs. Beautiful!

Not all powerlifters are fat!

There are equivilent powerlifters to that olympic lifter. All the strongest(absolute) PL-ers are fat, and so are the olympic lifters.

I forgot where the clips are, but Pfunk posted some clips of the Turkish weightlifters. Those guys are about 180lbs, but they are lifting insane amounts of weight, and they lift it gracefully.

yea, i have that entire video. it is from ironmind, heavy metal in melbourne, in the training hall before the world championships (1997).

the video is full of amazing squats, and some of these guys are only a day or two out from contest!

also, the guy in this video, is injured and not competing. he is just working out. he got hurt in training and came with the rest of his team but he did not compete.

I love how smooth these guys squat.

yea, they try and keep it very "bouncy" because they don't want to feel slow coming out of the hole when they rack a snatch or a clean. they want to be quick out and be comfortable.

most of these guys don't back squat in their training that much, just as they are a few days out from contest (like in the video) to take the bar off their shoulders a little.....and still, a lot of them do front squat even this close to the meet and never back squat at all.

Yeah I noticed that "bounce" when watching these guys. Their heads and hips just kind of rock as soon as them reach their maximum depth and they just push right back up.
