I know it's along shot, but I injured my right anterior deltoid or it's attach point. I'm hoping someone has a remedy for speeding up the healing process.

It's impossible to tell exactly where the injury is it just hurts where the deltoid connects to my arm, when I try and lift. It's been going on now for about two months, maybe a little longer; doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Could be tendonitis. I just got off a two month no gym per docs orders. Seems a lot better now. i would say give it at least a month off, NO LIFTING WHATSOEVER. It may feel better before then but don't be fooled. It needs time to heal. Also, got to thr store and grab a $4 bottle if hydrocortisone cream. Rub it on and see if that helps with the pain. If you continue to lift you are only gonna make more problems for yourself i swear to god. If all else fails you'll have to see an orthopedic doc, get an mri and most likely live on cortizon shotd the rest of your life. You don't want that trust me. Take some time off. Good luck bro

From what I've been reading, I think the tendonitis is likely; muscle strain or tear doesn't take this long to heal. I've had a hunch I would have to lay off the gym completely, but I just didn't want to do it. If that's what it takes, I'll do it, but I really hate to. Maybe it will give me a chance to improve my cardio!

Thanks for responding, you really brought home what I've been trying to ignore.

Lol thats exactly what the doc told me before i walked out of the room that day. I didn't do much cardio but i did get a lot of things done around the house id been putting off and got caught up with my social life. It actually turned out to be a really great thing. Although i lost some size not lifting for two months i have a renewed drive at the gym now and the size is coming right back on like nothing.

I hurt mine more than 6 months ago; but I kept going and tried to ignore the pain; made it worse. I've been resting it for two months now and it's a lot better, but still not healed 100%.. The longer you wait, the longer the recovery. If you break it and have to have surgery to repair; plan on at least 90 days to start getting some movement and a year or more; if you ever get complete recovery. Rest it; don't do anything that hurts or you just make is worse.
