Hey guys, Im getting some serious pain from my left forearm after certain bicep exercises like EZ barbell curls. (hammers are ok).

The weird thing is I only get the pain after ive finished the reps and i put the bar down. As I release the bar i get a bad pain up the bone in my forearm.

I cant be arsed waiting weeks to see the doc when he will just send me the hospital to wait hours for a xray. I do Muay Thai 2-3 times a weeks and take some punishment on my forearms, so im thinking maybe ive got a fracture of some sort?

Any idea what it could be?

Nice one God :haha:

But I don't think that's the advice he's looking for :)
Plus he already has Gyno...look at his avatar?

Sounds like it could be a stress fracture, I would get it checked out. Also I have a friend who has complained of that when curling for Football conditioning, for the last three years. Nothing catastrophic has happened just yet...

i had a similar injury w/ muay thai a couple years ago - think i skipped curls for a month, and then it just faded away eventually - but then the type of pain you describe is VERY common among people in the gym - although it usually affects both arms, not just one.

I take some bad ass kicks to the forearm (particularly the left, blocking right kicks) in thai and used to get huge bruises. Now i dont bruise there but i think the damage is already done :(

I reckon i need to lay of the thai and weights for a month but i really dont want to fall behind :(

lay of the EZ curl bar, get some fish oils!

Get yourself a Swedish massage....does wonders  :hehe:
Screw the fish oil and glucosamine.

heat and anti inflamatories. just force yourself to take some time off. i had to take some time off for TB and it drove me nuts, but the more i worked out, the more it fucked with me. play it safe and just take the time off. who knows, you may actually make gains from all the rest.
