It's getting old. 5 hours max.

I prefer less sleep but I get bored. Not much going on in my life from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.
 
Ambien etc doesn't work for me.

Do you take anything other than growth?

Gh isn't practical for me.

I have had this my whole life. It can be rough and lonely. But I would kill for a steady 5. On the up side you can accomplish a lot. I have a PhD and and ABD..I did most of the work while working a job and raising a family. Its a bit harder at 50 +. I got a C-Pap and get 4-5 a night now.
 
Same here ROID. I have major sleep issues since I was a kid. and now we have a 4 week old newborn which adds to the difficulty.

Some days I feel like I am merely running on fumes.

Yesterday I went to the gym on maybe 1 hour of sleep? 225 on incline felt like 315 normally does. Just did some light weight for 30mins and walked out.

Pointless.

It really effects you in a lot of negative ways.

The odd thing is when I went to a doctor about the issue he suggested stimulants.
 
I've been dealing with it myself for about 20 years. Mom is the same way. Antidepressants have helped. Any sleep aid either turns me into a zombie or makes me crazy. Tried ambien for a while but I would forget what I did the night before. Insomnia is torture. Best thing you can do is get on a schedule. Wake up every day at same time no matter how much you sleep. Easier said than done however. I feel for you though.

I had this same problem until I tried smoking THC cartridges. Does the job! ... I don't know how an ambien would not effect someone...
