MuscleTech's ThermoGain?

Why is that?
They have to recuup the cost of their advertising somehow

'recuup' ;)

I think they have a lot of loyal fans out there. I think they also have lots of money and can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on 6-page ad/reports in any mag they choose. I don't necessarily like the fact that they waste 3 whole spreads just telling people that they have a new product.

But by the same token, I also think they could probably get away with "word of mouth" advertising by those that sponsor and have contracts for them.

From what I hear, few of the athletes they sponsor actually use their products. That's just heresay of course, but it's possible. I've never been impressed with any MuscleTech product.

Rule of thumb: Ignore everything from MuscleTech.
A very wise rule of thumb, unless you enjoy overpaying for supplements.

The loyal fans are morons who don't know the difference between anal penetration and buying supplements. They have millions of dollars to spend on advertising because they anally penetrate consumers and make it seem they are the only company in the world with real scientific proof. Their products are always better than the competitor because of a misplaced hydroxyl group at the #3 carbon in a polypeptide chain or some stupid scientific jargon like that.

I'd venture to say this happens with all companies.

To help put it into perspective, even Charles Mansen had fans.

To help put what into perspective? I'm sure he did, but Manson has nothing to do with my question.

Hell, for all that's worth - the SF 49ers have fans....we'll be at this all day.

Thanks for the genuine input guys....I appreciate it.

muscletech products are overpriced (due to their ridiculous OTT marketing campaigns and half a dozen 3 page ads featuring aggressive looking roid monsters in every muscle magazine), yes some of their products might be alright but in reality there are much better alternatives at much lower prices, so why buy muscletech when you can save money and buy something that will yield much better results? fact is the well informed on supps. know to stay away from them, hence musclepumps rule of :thumb:

;)

Get some thing big to flex, get cell tech! :thumb:

I used cell tech for a long time. I thought it was awesome stuff. Didnt come close to what muscle tech said it would do but was still a quality creatine. with that said though its really way over priced. Even with one of those gnc gold cards its still way more expensive than some of the other qaulity creatines out there.

I have used cell tech before and thought it was great. I liked it alot better than EAS's phosphagen stuff. But that was a couple years ago.

I'm sure you're right. I was hooked on MT when Hydroxycut first came out. Granted - it was with E, but it was a quality product. I am not prone to believing everything that is written on paper, which was why I asked for opinions so that I could make my own educated decision on what to buy and what not to buy.

I too said that I did not like the overly used spreads in the mags.
Thanks again

I would agree that their stuff is overpriced, but their products work. I had good results with Nitro Tech, Hydroxycut( it was actually too potent for me)and Cell Tech. I did find a cheaper whey protein that was as good and I use the home made Cell Tech recipe from the link someone else posted now instead of Cell Tech.

I am curious about Thermo Gain and will probably try it when I complete the current training cycle I am on. There are no substitutes out there for it now that I am aware of. I am curious to hear what others have to say who have tried it, but this thread has turned into a bash Muscle Tech thread.

There are no substitutes for it because no other companies make such ridiculous claims. It's impossible to turn fat into muscle. Save your money

It is not ridiculous to say a product stimulates muscle growth also boosting fat burning. And I will spend my money to see if it works. It it does it, it does. If it doesn't it doesn't and it cost me the price of one bottle or so. I've done this with Muscle Tech's and dozens of other companies various supplements and products ( some are successes, some are failures) and I am smart enough to make my own decisions, so don't you dare tell me how to spend my money.

As I said in my earlier posts, I've used some of their products. Yes, they are very expensive. But the ones I've tried so far have worked.

In October 2001, I started using Cell Tech for the first time after two years of using straight creatine. In the initial two month cycle, I gained 8 pounds, 6 of which were pure muscle, after being stuck at the same weight for six months before that. There were NO other substantive changes in any of my other variables, including caloric intake. My poundages and muscular endurance also increased. This was all due to the Cell Tech.

Listen dickwax, i wasn't telling you how to spend your money. I was simply saying that thermogain claims to convert fat into muscle, which is not possible, but go ahead and spend your money. I have a cream here that turns oxygen into muscle and it's only $300 for 1 oz. so spend wisely and buy 200 bottles of it because it goes fast. And i can include a picture of me in a labcoat with a beaker of blue stuff just to make you feel like your getting a solid deal. I take paypal...

Where? I am looking at two ads in different magazines and nowhere does it say that.

im thinking of doing the same. did you add ALA and Chromium Picolinate to yours. if not, do you think the results are the same?

Ohhh.. I just noticed too...Go Suck Cock never did answer my question.
