all that matters is that it looks good and goes fast!

Look into certified Pre-owned...

A lot cheaper...
Usually warranted...
Cheaper insurance...

A car loses 20% of its value the moment you drive it off the new car lot. Every year after that it loses 10% of it's current net worth est.

No harm in buying an excellent car that just a few years old.

Used is a much better investment IMO.

I regret buying a new car. You can find so many good deals out there on used cars. You can save a lot of money buying used.

New cars are fucking expensive.

there are pros/cons either way, in your case I would probably go used, buying a brand new Kia is not the best purchase, instead you could get a quality car (Toyota/Honda/Nissan) that is a few of years old.

Ask your parole officer what he thinks.

Buy a Honda Civic Hybrid, your wallet will thank you.

I know people who look for used cars that are 1 to 2 years old with low mileage. They buy Corvetters, SUVs, Lexuses, and they save thousands and thousands of dollars this way.

Go Japanese - Ultra reliable.
I know someone who left one out for 2 years in a parking lot open to elements without ever touching it, and after recharging the battery it started straight away, and had no engine damage or sciezure at all. Brakes were rusted to hell tho.
Pick up a second hand Nissan skyline for pretty cheap - a gully customisable rocket with amazing handling. Can be souped up to 900 bhp with a bit of jiggery pokery.

That seems like the best way to go. Slightly used, but higher quality.

Cos its one of the cheapest, fastest & best handling cars you can buy 2nd hand. Kicks ass big style, also rear wheel drive - throw it into a corner and boot it........big style fun.

There's also a version available that comes with over 500 horsies stock and puts it to any exotic out there; it runs in the 10s and costs a little over 100K.

While I agree with you that Kia's have had mechanical issues in the past and I personally don't like them I still believe they're a great purchase for the economical spender out there. Kia's and Hyundai's have some of the best warranties on the market. Certainly better than Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. All Kia's and Hyundai's come with a 5 year/50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty + 10 year/100,000 on the powertrain. This is a big selling point for them over the others.

Unfortunately you'll still be driving a Kia or Hyundai.

If you do buy used make sure you get the VIN first and run it through www.carfax.com. We checked one car the guy said he had bought it new, but it had actually been used as a rental car before he owned it.

I'd say certified used is the best idea... you can get a really good warranty with those. more expensive than just any old used car, but if you buy a lemon, you'll be kicking your own ass all the way to the bank.

i bought a lemon once, and it really, really sucked.:suicide:
