Is putting on muscle bad for you in the same way that putting on fat is? They say that if you have an above average body weight this will put abnormal pressure on your heart, does this also go for having excess muscle mass, as having lots of muscle isn???t a natural state for your body?

So does putting on muscle increase your chance of heart failure or any other illnesses? :hmmm:

If said subject eats a poor diet to put on that muscle then yes, it could cause a big problem.

Now look at all the old people who still have muscle, and you see that a good diet + working out does not = death.

Arnold has had a triple Bypass? But doesn't it have something to do with the bodies mass the heart needs to pump blood around, if its abnormally large then the heart needs to work harder!

Not only would your heart be healthier from eating a good diet ( in order to cut or be healthy overall) but wouldn't cardio help make your heart healthier? Also, would being bigger increase it THAT much? Maybe if you weighed like a thousand pounds, but I don't see how being muscular would force your heart to work THAT much more. Also, with the amount of roids Arnold did I'm not surprised his heart was fucked up.

doesn't outting on muscle too fast ie roids, put too much pressure on both the heart and the joints?
