Is this a Good Pre Workout Breakfast?

I just had one of those flavored oatmeals that come in a cup and I just have to add milk. The Nutrition facts:

200 calories
2.5g of fat
42g of Carbohydrates (3g of fiber, 18g of sugar)
5g of Protein

and I added a cup of skim milk, plus drank a cup for myself and a small apple.
Is that good for a pre w/o breakfast?
 
I said I added 1 cup of skim milk and then drank 1 cup of skim milk more, so that's 16g of protein extra.

It depends on your overall goals and weight.

I would drop the flavoured oatmeal and stick to real oats (the flavoured stuff has a lot of added junk in it)... although the flavoured stuff is better than kiddy cereal... Then I would probably swap one of those cups of milk for a pure protein such as some egg whites or cottage cheese... The apple - if it is pre workout (and close to the workout) may be too high in fibre/fructose - and you would be better off with something that is more rapidly digesting and higher in glucose (such as blueberries, banana etc etc)....

So something like:
oats
skim milk
banana
some egg whites (or, if you workout soon after breakfast, some whey)

Would be great. :)
 
Thanks Emma:thumb: I'll keep that in mind.

Usually if I workout in the morning I have my breakfast at least 1hr before my session, is that good?

Also, my goal now is to gain more lean muscle. I went from 190Lbs, to 183Lbs, but mostly I lost fat around my belly, my chest, arms, etc are basically the same. I trying to get that 6 pack! Lol!
