I have been on a crazy workout kick. I discovered yoga and I really, REALLY like it. Ive always been a weights /cardio only person.
The yoga is called corepower and its a vinyasa flow type so its definitely not a stretching only class... its very hard!

Ive been doing alot of it, going to classes and such. Anyhow, I cannot SLEEP! I get to sleep and I wake up EVERY night after like 4 hours and I have to eat something to go back to sleep. Not because Im hungry, just because it helps me fall asleep. I wake up mad at myslef because I feel like its detrimental to my goals eating in the middle of the NIGHT! I dont binge or anything and I always measure what i eat if I do eat in the middle of the night because I dont want it to go overboard.. its about 2-300 cals worth of clean food. any suggestions or comments? I thought maybe Im overtraining.
I havent had a big cheat meal or super high day in over 3 weeks now. Im estimating my cals to be 1600-1800 a day 2000 at the highest.

here is a summary of my last 2 weeks

LAST WEEK:

Cardio - 280 minutes
Yoga - 2 classes (classes are 60 min)
Weight training - 1 upper , 1 lower (sessions about 45-60 min)
Dance- 4-5 hours ( I am on a dance team this is practice)

end of the wk wt:123.5

SUMMARY 9/18 thru 9/25

WORKOUTS
Cardio- 210 min
Weight Training- 2 full body workouts
Yoga- 5 hour classes
Dance- 6 hours

cals: I do not count cals/macros anymore but here is a sample of my diet, I eat alot of vegetarian stuff and not alot of chicken/meat. My goals are too lean out and be healthy without the yo-yo effects of dieting.

M1- yogurt
M2- "breakfast burrito" small high fibertortilla ,egg whites w/ ff cheese mango-pineapple-passion fruit salsa
M3- Luna bar
M4-homemade vegetarian chili w/ feta and 2 organic tortilla chips
M5- 1 slice homemade carob PB pie , 2 vegi tofu /ff cheese enchiladas w/ mango salsa and tomatos on top
M6- small bowl of kashi w/ blueberries and skim
M7- big salad w/ roasted pepper dressing low fat, lots of vegis and reduced fat feta

My pie is made without sugar, or honey.. I make it with Spenda , PB, Cream cheese ff and carob chips unsweetened ...Just so I dont get reemed about the pie in my diet lol.

That doesn't look like overtraining in any way to me. I wouldn't worry about that if this appears to be your only "symptom."

In terms of diet, you should post it in the diet section for better responses.

ok thanks - it just seems like alot of exercise I guess / Im working out at least 2 hours a day now if not 3.
thanks !

Dancing and yoga are not especially taxing on musculature or the nervous system. If merely exerting yourself in any fashion lead to overtraining, then you would have cases of overtraining in construction workers all the time.
