Hi guys,

I have a qeustion about my program.
If i do

Monday: chest back abs
Tuesday: legs shoulder
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: biceps triceps forearms
Friday: chest back abs
Saturday: legs shoulder
Sunday: rest

Is this possible or too much?

Looking forward to hear from you guys.

Kind regards

Back and legs are huge muscle groups and I prefer because of your CNS to do them on different days than other muscle groups....i break it down like this

Monday-arms bis tris and fore arms(i dont mess with fore arms to much)
Tuesday- legs- gives your arms a break
Wed-chest- also uses tris
Thurs- Back-- also uses bi's
Friday-shoulders- also uses tris

This way Im not doing too much of one muscle in a row--- Abs I throw in randomly at the end of work outs mostly with my woman.

Thats my 2 cents.

Seems nice schedule but you do most of the muscles once a week? Not twice?

I prefer to do them all only once a week yeah. I need time to recover. I can barely sit on a toilet and I did legs on tuesday. My chest is still sore to the touch from wed. But this is an example of a back work out for me right now. Back is one of my stronger muscles so my other weights are a lot lower on other days.

So many sets? Is it not too much? Or do you have great gains of it?

Actually I adapted this off of german volume training... and yes since I started the 8-10 set of six I have been making gains again. The key for me and gains is change. I was doing 4 sets of 10-12 then tried to go to volume 4 sets of 15-20 but absolutely hated that. So I went back to GVT which basically combines low rest 30-90 secs low reps lots of sets. Mine is different then the actual GVT in that I dont stay at one weight the whole time and i do very few super sets. But my strength has been increasing a lot if i went back to 4 sets right now my lifts would be 10-50 pounds higher depending on the body part and lift and im up 15-18 lbs since but a lot of that has to do with "Supps"

I'm not telling you what to do man i just noticed your new and no one replied to your thread so thought id let you know what is works for me. I used to do a similar spread as you and had a hard time making gains but everyone is different and different things work for different people. The best thing you can do is keep reading different set ups and try different things. Figuring out what works for you and what keeps you motivated is the best way to make sure that you stay in the gym so that you can continue to make the gains. For me they come slow but as long as they come im happy.
