Anyone ever tried that dam cardio machine in the Gym?

I was feeling frisky and thought well...Im getting in great shape now..I'll just try it out for 20 minute and do a little different cardio...

You know how long I lasted?

2 minutes...... 2 LOUSY MINUTES!! :yell:

That was THE hardest damn machine I have ever done in my life! So now I will hit that thing ever day. Everyday until I can do 3 minutes..!! :D

Then so on until I can do 20..I know I will be in great shape once I can do that.....

2 minutes

Heres the link to it in case you havent seen one. I looks so easy...its not!

Observe a pyrotechnical display of "traveling" fiery plasma. Starts off as 1/2" arc and expands to over 3" before evaporating into space. This is an excellent attention getting display as well as a winning science project!!

These are neat, but dangerous. My dad built one when I was a kid.

As for the cardio thing, looks kind of wierd, honestly though I wonder about RMI.

RMI?

Seriously, it is an incredible workout. It looked so easy ..and the funny thing is...it is...is just beats you up so fast.

Repetitive Motion Injury, I have had issues from typing. Grocery store employees from constant gripping motions have had problems.

I'm not old but I have learned over the last few years to not push my luck with repetitive things, or things hard on the body like running, especially at my bodyweight.

I have done a stepper before and even that gets my heart going pretty fast, so I dont doubt that this is quite a workout at all. Anything IMO that involves virtually the whole body is going to be a real beach.

Oh yes we have some climbers like that, forgot about them, dont really see anyone use them.

Ironicaly I can do those clibers better than I can Jacobs Ladder.

I said why?

Not just hard, but I'd say probably they make you a little bit of a spectacle ;)

Found out Jacobs Ladder went out of buisiness...too bad..best cardio Ive seen

Takes up space, probably not terribly popular because its different, not a big supprise wether it was warranted or not.

I have this theory after working around healthclubs my whole life that even the general public that excercises can still be broken down to the 80/20 rule

That is 80 % of the poplation of a gym will continue down the path of least resistance fooling themselves into beliveing that they are making a difference.

20% of the people in the Gym will recieve 80% of the results.

It never ceases to amaze me that humans can accept apathy even when active.

That Jacobs Ladder thing looks kind of cool! It reminds me of those amusement park games where you have climb across a rope ladder, then ring a bell at the end to win a prize. Does that Jacob's Ladder thing spit out a stuffed animal or t-shirt when you finish the 20 minute workout? It should. That would be good incentive to work out. Or maybe a beer.
