Jake Brown falls 40' at the X-Games

i thought i was going to die falling onto my back from 11 feet. holy shit.

Holy cow his shoes just shot off of his feet! I bet his ankles are going to be swollen for a long time..... I jumped off of a single story roof only a 15' drop and my ankles hurt like a bitch for 2 weeks and that was even using the tuck and roll method...but you can tell his feet went back and then sprung forward throwing his shoes off in the process....

The dude kept his mind right and landed as best as he could. Fuggin amazing he walked away with out being strapped to a back board. AAAAaand he made that 720 ... I couldn't even do an ollie anymore.

Not only did he make the 720, but that landing was faultless, utterly perfect. But, owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww fuck that drop!

Did that one guy try the double back flip again? Motocross.

damnnnn

but on a side note - skateboarders have coaches now?

Too bad. I wish he would have landed it. Skateboarders are some of the toughest motherfuckers in the world.

Walking away was bad ass.

No doubt about that. I've seen some dudes take some serious spills in my days of skating and get up and laugh/walk it off. Amazing stuff. Guaranteed this guy is on his board and identical ramps in no time. Takes a lot of balls after a fall like that.

The latest I've heard is that he has a bruised lung and bruised liver. No broken bones after that impact is truly amazing.

Nice to see him walk it off like a man.

One of my buddies is an on call physical therpaist there....he is one of the first responders that runs out there when the guys go down to do all sorts of checks to make sure that the guy is able to move, that he has not broke is neck or any other vertabrae, etc.....he comes back on monday and I can't wait to get the scoop. He said that this entire week during practices there were a ton of accidents as guys were trying some incredible stunts.
