JK Rowling admits "Dumbledoreis gay"

I never got into the Harry Potter before but a few weeks ago when I was on a plane to head back east, they showed the latest Harry Potter movie. Seeing I already had a headset and it was a long flight, I said what the hell, I'll watch it. It was surprisingly very good. Since then I've watched another because it was HBO. Just thought I'd mention it even though it really doesn't have anything to do with the title :p

I'd like to point out that thanks to this thread, we now get banner advertising for RealJock, the 100% free gay fitness community. Priceless.

I seriously doubt that. The woman is an incredible writer, and I am sure sure has tons of story ideas that don't make it into the books because she feels that it doesn't add to the story. Other than pissing off Christians, what would have been the point of putting that in there?
How do you mean 'doesn't add to the story'? A person suddenly turns out to be gay and it doesn't change the story? It completely alters Dumbledore's character and therefore the story. No good book could leave something like that out.

About the quality of the book, Rowling can write a bit and she had some good ideas for the first book, but the series are crap. They're pretty entertaining kids' books, not quality literature (or even bad literature).

Don't tell me the books wouldn't sell less if one of the main characters (an idol even) was gay.
