nor is there any data that supports it...the employment problem in the US started in the 70's before the illegals started to come. and the jobs that they take are all low wage, the main problem with the US economy right now. far to many low wage jobs and not enough high paying jobs for the working class.

one of my friends is the manager of a Levi's store here in Vegas, it's the most profitable store that Levi's has in the world in terms of sales. there are over 250 employees that work there on different shifts, in the warehouse, etc. out of all of them him and maybe a hand full of others that are shift managers make decent wages, the rest are all earning 1980's wages once adjusted for inflation. it is the same model followed and used by all in the low wage service sector and has always been the basis for capitalism. low wages for the workers so the profits flow up to the top.
Employment? You really think the problem is employment?

wages are the main problem but that is the nature of a consumption based economy with one of the lowest labor union participation rates in the OECD. 66% of the US workforce is earning between $19K-$13K annually once adjusted for inflation to the 1990's dollars but it's 2012.

Your post is not 100% accurate. go drive through any residential construction site, you'll find illegals working there, some making a lot more than you think. Many driving new dual cab trucks which cost 40K+

and that's because no legislation will get passed where business owners are heavily fined or face criminal charges for hiring illegals. if there is no penalty why would business owners stop? if you hadn't noticed in the US business owners only do what is required of them by law, not what is morally right.

I worked as a QA inspector for a low voltage company in Vegas from 2005-2007. so I spent time on a 100 different tracts all over the valley.

how do you think capitalist maximize their profits? by paying fair wages? LOL...it's never happened in world history EXCEPT when/were labor union participation rates are high
