I read that Arnold only counted calories not the ratios. He ate alot of burgers and buns, beer, etc, most everything, but did not go over his set calories. I've read other bodybuilders who did the same thing when they cut they ate everything, but just reduced the calories (and salt). I heard Shaun Ray say that he ate whatever, but stopped at 2000 cals during cutting. They all did emphasize eating more protein.

I would like to eat healthy, but not perfect (a little bred/ a sandwich and suger along with fruits, veggies, lean meats, and nuts and protein supps, etc.), and keep my cals at about 2000. Will this cut work as well as 3000 plus cals of perect/clean eating? The pros suggest, yes.

Best thing to do is pay no mind to what Pro bodybuilders do or what the magazines say they do. Just read the stickys in the Diet section and you will be on your way.

At the end of the day calories are the most important thing.

There are a few things I like to make sure people do and these will help with maintaining lean mass (eg: ensuring a good protein content), things that will help with satiety (higher fiber, some fruits, higher protein), help in maintaining training (good pre and post workout nutrition) and things that are just better for your general health (eg: vitamins, minerals, fiber from fruits and vegetables and at least getting some fats, esp those you really need such as 6-8g fish oils)...

But yes, you could eat 'less than clean' and still cut successfully.

give it a try for a week or 2, and see what happens, if it works, great, but no than dont do what u do

A pros diet and training regime isn't relevent unless you are using the same amount of anabolics.

Otherwise....stick to the info provided in the diet section as suggested. Anything posted from Emma or Jodi is well worth your time.
