Just joined a Gym & need some tips

I am about 5'3" & 103-105lbs. I obviously don't need to lose weight, but I have a hard time gaining it. I would like to gain some sort of weight so I can build up muscle. I don't want to be Miss He-Man or anything I just want to look nice & defined. What is the best protein drink for females? Would anybody be willing to hook a girl up with a routine or something? I went to the gym today and really had no idea where to start. I have a subscription to fitness magazine for women, but i dont find it that helpfull. Thank you for any tips you can provide for me!

5'3 104??? - I will offer that you will never be "Miss He-Man" unless you use steroids - :laugh:

If you are healthy, start with compund motions and free weights,
You will notice an immediate change in your body in a couple weeks...

But after like 6-8 weeks it will seem that you are not improving anymore...

Do not despair... This is normal, your body will be adapting to the exercise
and leveling itself off...

ive read something about soy being beneficial to women. Something to do with hormome production
 
BugD0utBunE welcome to IM! The last worry you should have is getting to muscular. The only way you can get too big is using by steroids.....train natural and you will look great
 
To gain weight you need to head off too McDonalds and slam down those Big Macs and Cola's. I would start with a 1/4'er pounder with cheese and work your way up!
