Hi,
I did my triceps yesterday. I did 3 set of dips. 10 reps each. when i was doing it it felt a little wierd in my front deltoids but i didnt think anything of it. After the workout everything felt okay.

This morning I was getting ready for work and I raised my arm and i felt a stinging pain thru my front deltoids. now everytime i raise my arm i feel the same pain.

Today is my off day. Should i keep working out starting tomorrow or should i take a few days off. what do you guys think.

ps. I also worked out my deltoids(front, mid, rear) before i did the dips.

A stinging pain is not a good pain. Take time off, let yourself heal. Better to lose 5 days now than 10 later on.

Yeah I agree, take a break, maybe a week. Or however long it takes for the pain to subside. Your injury sounds very much like the one I had 2 weeks ago, I strained the anterior deltoid doing front raises - same senerio; felt pain whenever I lifted my arm. I decided to take 7 off, and i felt refreshed and motivated as soon as I got back.

Thanks guys... I should still do some cardio thou right?

Ya try biking. Running might bother it also. You could still probably do some squats.

Stop until it doesn't hurt anymore. I have an old shoulder injury that acts up from time to time (which is somewhat annoying since I'm only 16, but anyways...). It's really a lot better to either take time off, or do something that doesn't involve the injured area at all. For example, my shoulder was hurting and I really didn't want to take any time off from lifting (no more than I had), so I changed my clean and press day into my squat day (followed by farmers' walks and pull ups). Just realize that you can work around it without making it worse in most situations. Pain is the body telling you something is wrong, so listen to it.

Take time off all upperbody workouts...cardio and legs should be fine though.

Definitely take some time off. The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, I think it was from doing CG bench press. I took a week off and there has been no pain at all since.
