I rarely, if ever have a spotter. I'm safe about it, and don't overdo things, but I was wondering what you all do/say to yourself to keep jammin' out.

Like when you're 8 of 10 and need the extra push!

I usually tell myself I'm not a pssy and think about how those 2 reps will help me get where I want to be.

Or I think about love, and say "if you really loved such and so, you'd get that sht up"

What do you do/say/think?
 
I usually take a few deep breaths before starting a set, then push like hell during the set. I try to make every rep like it's my last. Like Scotty, I have a number of reps I aim for. If I don't get out those reps, I consider it a personal failure, and I hate to fail. That's enough to keep me motivated. If I hit that number of reps and I have a little gas left in the engine, I'll push for another rep or two, because if I aim for 6 reps and I do 8, 8 becomes the new goal next time.
