There is no doubt enough blame to go on both the managerment and the union at AMR. The long story short is both need to work for a common goal of the company being successful, that seems to be lacking at almost all companies. When employees are owners or get a hefty amount of profit sharing due to hard work, amazing things happen. I deal with a few like that in my industry and all those companies are successful, employees are happy more often than not and they are paid well. Companies, especially big ones, pay shitty 9/10 and could give a fuck about the employee. They pander to Wall Street and the investors and forget about who makes them actually an attractive investment. Investors should be last on the list, not first, like you see in so many of America's fortune 500 companies. It is a fucked up system that needs to change. OWS could have actually focused on this and made it a core message, instead they fucked up and are a bunch of lazy druggies who need a shower commiting crimes. Yeah, that is a generalization but it is not far from the reality of the situation either.
