Bah! I'm a Caucasian American. I don't in anyway feel responsible, nor do I think anyone alive today should be responsible for shit that happened generations ago. I don't have any white guilt. I have plenty of shit that I have actually done in my life to be ashamed of without digging up the shit that my ancestors did, too. But at the same time I don't feel the need to celebrate thanksgiving in the traditional sense by dressing kids up in stupid outfits with feathers and having them reenact some dumb shit that probably didn't happen the way we think it did in the first place.


To me, it was "happy take off work and see your friends and family day". That's some shit I appreciate and respect. Just call it what it is. I can't remember the comedian who said it, but it was something to the effect of:
"Celebrating thanksgiving is like a rapist telling their victim to just think about the nice dinner they had at the start of the night".


Anywho, I had a blast! Saw family and friends, got high and drunk repeatedly, and ate enough to feed a third world village for a month. I hope everyone's holiday was as good as mine.
