longevity of raw powder?

A friend of mine had to go do a small bit for awhile (nothing gear related). Well he put up some test cyp raw powder and hid it in his house. He gets out next month, the powder itself has been there probably a little over a year.
How long do powders hold? Has the potency depreciated do you think?

depends where he stored it, cooler places make the gear last longer.
