love for beer

I am trying to take off some body fat while gaining mass. I like to go out and drink 3 to 6 beers a couple times a week.

What is better for me beer or alchol mixed with a diet drink?

No easy way to tell you this mate, but I think alcohol hurts your potential gains.

Empty calories and sugar in the beer, and I've read that alcohol binds to protein in the blood and prevents its use for muscle-building.
 
If you really want to loose weight you need to stop drinking beer.
 
Just keep working hard at your goals. If you have a couple of beers during the week it isn't going to destroy your progress. Alot of people like to have a cheat meal once a week or so. Just think of the beer as your cheat and keep working hard.
 
Arnold drank a beer and ate a burger (plain)...almost everyday (not while cutting).
 
I love beer too but you have to set your priorities :)

I have succesfully dropped pounds and continually got smashed on the weekends. I would drink light beer one night and rum and diet cokes the other. I would go a bit psycho during cardio though and near the end I would need to take a week off of drinking.
