Does anyone one know a good ab workout for the lower abs??

Also, what are some good oblique exercises?

Ah, ok. I thought I read a post somewhere that had different workouts for upper and lower...makes sense. :) Thanks!

you very well may have, but I disagree with that and I have science to support me. :)

you will here people, even trainers, saying that you can work upper and lower abs, but the fact of the matter is it's a single muscle that will grow as a single muscle, period.

I use a lying ab machine w/ weight, leg raises and crunches for my ab work-out, in that article there are links to several other ab exercises.

Hanging Knee Raises

Along with crunches I do hanging knee raises. Hang from a chin up bar, pull your knees to your chest, slowly and lower them. This strengthens the entire abdomen, but especially the lower portion. I usually do 2 sets of 100. I am a Kickboxer. This helps give me power for kicking as well as being kicked.

I'm going to try the hanging knee raises when I go to the gym tonight. Thanks a bunch. :thumb:
