HHey u all...im coming off of a minor injury...and when i lift again....im gonna decrease the weights a little...for example, this WAS my routine for chest a week ago:

BB bench: 8x125 7x145 5x165 4x180
DB bench: 8x45 8x45 8x45
DB incline bench: 8x35 8x35 8x35

Now iu think this will be my routine when i return (for a couple of weeks, until i get better)

BB bench: (warmup a lot!) 5x145 5x145 5x145 5x145
DB bench: 8x35 8x35 8x35
DB incline bench 8x30 8x30 8x30

My question is: i kno i wont gain any strength...but im not worried about that....im worried about this: will i lose strength? or will i just maintain my strength i had (not losing any...yet not gaining any either)??

youll maintain!

especially if its only for a few weeks

i mean if you did that for like 6 months, you may start to lose some strength

Most likely you will maintain. Hell, I went on vacation for 7 months and wasn't able to lift at all, except for some 15 pound dumbells. I did a lot of pushups, curls, military presses, weightless squats, etc. I didn't lose any strength in any of my lifts. Of course, I also continued to eat quite a lot.

i was even thinking about doin for BB bench:

5x135 5x135 5x135 5x135

i dont want to reinjure myself....i have high goals in lifting!

lol, what kind of a vacation was that man, JAIL ??? hehehe, lol, nice vacation. Anyway, i think you will lose some strenght defenently but its not gona be the end of the world, think about some creatine........

if u dont want to reinjure yourelf then take it easy, it is better to rest for a week then fuck up and rest for like 6 weeks

Do I dare mention muscle memory and begin a big debate....nah, start out slow you'll get back to where you were the injury is healed and you feel better.
