Has anyone used this type of training?
I have been thinking about using this type of training but have been a little hessitant. A friend of mine gave me a book on it but I am not quite sure how the matrix principal works, example, do normal biceps workout then do a matrix biceps workout. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I know Neo from the Matrix just had tank download all his training. That was the easiest way. Try that!

Ok, just kidding I haven't heard of it, do you have a link to check out?

:flex: :hmmm:

Something to do with a spoon...

LOL:laugh:
It has nothin to do with a spoon either.
I dont have a website link, what I do have is the book.
The exercises are basically 1/2 movements combined with normal full reps. eg
bench press
--------------
5 full reps
5 half-up reps
5 half-down
5 full reps

this constitues one set, there are other exercises in the program and they get much more difficult as you progress through the program.
Thats why I wondered if anyone had used it with their exisiting weight program

Usually those half reps are used as a finishing exercise to get you to failure. I remember the old Universal bodybuilding book I bought from a comic book years ago also used this type of training. I remember you were supposed to do as many full reps then try to do as many half reps until complete failure. It's a good way to break a plateau or throw in maybe once a month but I wouldn't do it every workout.
