I know that. Can I borrow your glasses, I just didn't notice it saved as a BMP, good observation. I saved it as a GIF, but somehow it was misconstrued. Let me fix the dam thing.

I returned back to the website and it appears the problem is only with that one graphic image. If you try to save as to your hard drive it will try to save it as a BMP even though it should be saving it as a GIF. If you perform the same with any other animated gifs on the page it will save as a gif with no problem (strange). If I rename the bmp to GIF it won't animate. Now if I path the image directly to the website it animates fine (Strange).

That can't be the case, cause like I said I can click "save as" and save every single animated gif image as a gif format, but that one particular file on that website. That site contains like a dozen animated gifs.. I can save 11, but not the twelvth. Can't be my cache, but I will clear it anyway as I do about once a week or so.

I deleted the cache Mudge....but, as I said the problem still exists. Due to the problem characteristics it has to be with the file itself. There are 2 monkeys. I can download the one on the left as a gif just fine, but the one on the right will not download as a gif. I provided you with the link, try it out.... I bet you have the same problem.... Anyway, as I said all other files work fine so it is of no concern to me. But thanks anyway Mudge.

I try not to do that though, cause the webmasters hate people doing that due to the degradation of their bandwidth.

The file in which your checking properties on is displayed correctly as a GIF. This is because the image is pathed directly to the website I was referencing. The problem comes in to play when trying to download the file from the website. If you download the monkey on the right (there are 2 monkeys), it will try to save it as a BMP, not a gif. If you want to try it for yourself just for kicks, here is the link to the site once again.

If you click and save the codes(like they say on the site)it stays as a GIF file,but yes,if you save it on your hard drive,it does convert it to a BMP file.
Notice that the two icons originaly came from two different sites.
I'll see if I can find either of those sites...

Nike you do know that if you see any picture posted in any message thread all you have to do is simply right click on the image and click "save as" to save to your hard disk. You don't need anyone to send you a link like Dero did.
