Jay is a big guy!! Met him at a store opening in Charlotte. Nice guy! Had to pay $10 to get his autograph though.

yeah but do any other sport's figures/stars or celebrities charge for their autographs?

If Jay was selling his pictures and signing them for $10 that is one thing...
...but if I brought in my own pic of him from a mag or something it would be redicucous for him to ask for $10 to sign it.

dg - what store was he at?
I got Lee Haney's back in the eighties. I think I had to pay for his picture also. And I've seen lots of guys at baseball card shows charging and like you said, lines are crazy!Originally posted by I Are Baboon
Tons of athletes do, especially retired Hall of Famers. I used to work for a guy who did baseball card shows. Every show had a few Hall of Famers signing autographs for as much as $100 to sign a bat. I got mine for free because I worked at the shows, but the lines to pay for the autographs always were at least an hour deep.

Dude! I would have given you mine for free!![]()

And from the original poster's comments, that is what we are to assume. So I assume now that you agree with me. $10 for his own picture is one thing.
