is it true the steelers want michael vick?

Will never happen.

Looks like the Packers are pretty interested in Vick.

As a Packer fan I am not sure about the move, as long as he knows he is the back up.

I saw Rodgers having a good year this year, not that last year was bad.

He will be a PR nightmare for any team!

We might have chatted a few times :p

WHY? So he can abuse more innocent animals? He should be without a job the rest of his life!

He did pay his debt to society. If he didn't have a job for the rest of his life then we would be paying for him. I say let the man work.

There are many jobs where you commit a crime, you won't be allowed to work for certain organizations.

That said, he is an overrated QB. I hope the experience opened his eyes, I know he has done some work with local SPCA's speaking against dog fighting.

Sure, he did is time and the government should not prevent him from working for any company that would have him. If a team hires him, I would have no problem with it.

However, I do not root for shitheads. I will never get behind any team that he plays for and I will not pay a single cent to watch him play. If a ball club signs him knowing that there are people out there with the same opinion as i have, so be it.

You dont hurt animals like that and you feel sorry about it.. SPCA's speaker? he is doing that for his own benefit not because he is sorry and he learned his lesson.. its in his blood!

I am torn on this. I do think that he paid his "debt to society", but at the same time anyone capable of doing what he did is a cruel, heartless son of a bitch, and I doubt serving time will change that.

Philly, eh? Interesting. Well, anything to increase their chances of beating those Dallas and New York homobutts.

I don't get this move if they keep him under center. McNabb is lightyears ahead of him wrt passing, and the Wildcat formation is just another reason for them to pass (Something the Eagles don't need). Even though Kolb is out, Feeley played very well last night. I guess he is a decent insurance policy, but if they intend on playing him at QB it is a waste.

McNabb is a Hall of fame QB in his prime. I can't imagine the plan is to use Vick at QB full time. Probably a tailback, third wideout, and of course under center in the Wildcat.

The way philly players are going down this preseason, they need anything they can get.

I am just glad the Packers didn't get him.

I'd put him at running back.

good signing. PETA needs to shut the hell up

Ditto. When's the last time Westbrook played an entier 16 game season AND the playoffs? Never. He has not one time in his entire career been healthy for an entire season. So now they have someone who's a double threat to run and/or pass to spell someone who can catch and run. Defenses won't have a clue what's coming at them.

(And in the biggest case of situational ethics this century, I like the move. Gooooooo EAGLES!!!)

PETA is still calling out Vick because he has not done any work for them specifically since being released from prison. They ignore the fact that he's working with the ASPCA and Humane Society. But, not for PETA, so they still bitch and moan. God they suck.

I'm excited to see what he's gonna add to the team. Now the question is, what round should fantasy owners take him???

Speaking against dog fighting is one thing. But honestly that is not what pisses me off about Vick. That man tortured animals and that is not something you speak out against. What do you say? "kids dont be a sick fuck like me and torture animals for your own sick pleasures". All the time in the world behind bars will not change that this man is sick in the head. I dont agree with fighting animals, but what he did was far beyond this.

It should be an honor to be a professional athlete and only those that work hard and live decent lives should have the opportunity. The NFL is sorry for even letting him back in to play. That man would not get a job at McDonalds with his criminal record for christ sake. I have friends that have done far less and can't get jobs.

Our government is so worried about the pro sports players being idols for the youth, and steroids being such a bad influence. What about this? What good is it encouraging the youth that you can be a pro player and get away with crimes and being a convicted felon? Government needs to stop worrying about drugs and start pushing these organizations to ban criminals.

Sports for the poor is often a way out...it shouldn't be a way to continue a shit head lifesytle without worry of losing your multi-million dollar a year job.

the guy spends 2 years in jail and looses 100 million dollars. time to move on people. justice has been served and now its time to let everyone move on with their lives.

He didn't lose 100million dollars, most of that is what he could have had had he not been an asshole criminal. That's not money lost, that's money not earned because of what he did. He didn't pay his debt to society imo, but who am I? I am happy the Pats didn't pick him up, but from a business standpoint, this is a great move by the Eagles. Eagles fans care about the bottom line, and if they win a Super Bowl and Vick is involved, they will forget all about his past transgressions.
