if you dont open your chute by 1000ft you dont have enough time to open the reserve your gonna die in 5 seconds, when I went to jump school in the military they wanted you to have your main open before your altimeter said 2000ft so you had enough time to deploy the reserve if shit failed. sounds like they were jumping low if they only had 70 seconds to perform a stunt
