Sorry , I just wanted to say that without NIKKI, there would be no CRUE, ever look at the credits of any Motley cd?
NIKKI writes everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The rest of them do what there told.
Thats not what I meant. Re-read my post.

And for the record, Ive been listening to The Crue for almost 20 years now. Ive read the credits on every album and I know Nikki writes the core of the material, but that was NOT what I was talking about. And no, the rest of them DO NOT do what they are told. I have no earthly idea where you got that from.

Ok.
I seen them here 2 weeks ago here in Ottawa.
Really good show.
They played almost every song from too fast for love and shout at the devil.
It blew me away, better than dr feelgood tour. All original members.Midgets, and of course GIRLS. Drum solo sucked( I like Tommy normally) new tech stuff, not good if your a drummer. Vince doesnt have the stamina some other rock singers may have but still very good , and the crowd had no problem fillin in his lines.
Mick looked really sore(he just had hip replaced)
Id say Tommys titty cam was a high lite.
If you get the chance catch the show, you may never get another chance to hear one of rocks baddest bands( i mean this in a good way) lets face it they are now livin legends.I really doubt the tour will last as long as planned, I mean sumthins gonna happen.
Oh I also just wanted to mention that if you didnt know, simple plan(from montreal) wrote thier new track with NIKKI. IF I DIE TOMMOROW..............................
I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars................
it rocked.........
SHOUT............SHOUT.................SHOUT..............SHOUT AT THE DEVIL............................
:hehe: titty cam ... that is almost worth the price of admission. :thumb:

If thats the case, its going to be a great view from everywhere. What Im hoping for is that Tommy brings back his rotating riser. When you stop to think about it, Tommy WAS The Crue. It most certainly wasnt Vince, even though he was the frontman. And we can definately forget about Mick. Nikki might have been "da man" in the media, but it was Tommy that made them in the music. He gave them their feel with his hip hop influenced style and almost lead guitarist style showmanship.
I agree.:thumb: And in turn his influence on David Silveria of Korn is the reason they are popular.

I like them all ... but not being a guitar player, I couldn't tell if Mick was good or not, but he certainly wasn't a showy player. Nikki, the bass player was more animated than Mick.

What you take from a band live is all very personal. V Player will look for technical ability in the guitarist where I, not very musical, looks for showmanship. And the concert I saw, Tommy Lee's drum solo was the best I've seen. I'm sure there are other drummers who might be technically better, but anyone who tells a story while his kit is rotated left/right/back and forth and can put down a great beat, gets  from me. :D
I second that....He would literally rotate while drumming man.....that just can't be easy.....Tommy Lee may be nutz, but he's definitely up there in my book with the Rush drummer (Like Rush).......

Folks, have you noticed that there is no younger kids in this thread?

You know you are an old fart when......

You think Vince Neil was cool
You look forward to a Motley Crue concert.
You remember videos and concerts from more than 15 years ago....

My name is Tony, I am an old fart.....

MAybe I didnt catch what you were sayin the first time round, your right, tom is their front man. Just needed to point out where the talent comes from. Neil pert and Tommy is like apple and oranges. As much as I love Crue, there miles away in the department of drumming talent and mechanics. RuSh wins hands down in that department.

YEAH! gettin old eh. I was at dennys a few weeks ago, they played bullit boys(remember them?) Crue, Skid Row(now thats a rock band!), i ASKED THE KID what station was playin' he said satelite radio, classic rock!

Made me feel 40 and Im only 30.

Well...... Im 39 and I feel almost 40 :sob: .

maybe technically Neil is a better drummer, but for showmanship, Tommy is the absolute ruler. I've seen both in concert and maybe because I'm not a big Rush fan, I felt Rush was good. They are not a very active group, but play good songs. Motley entertains

Did you see his solo from this tour!
Big deal! Hangin' from a cable, flyin' around. Rock n' roll aint about that.
Anyway, I used to feel the same way bout Tom, but MUSIC is about MUSIC.
Otherwise we'd all be listening to POISON(lol ha ha ha )

Bottom Line I love CRUE, and respect your opinion , allthough I do not agree 100%
Anyway, whats your fav album?
Mines, Too FAst for Love.

Kevin ... you're right, we won't see eye to eye on this one. :)

I like both Too fast for love and Shout.

No I'm not going to see the Crue. I have a hard time justifying $80 for a ticket. I remember wehn they were .... I know, I'm aging myself.

But this is something I really don't understand. The local rock radio station is promoting a Vince Neil after party at a bar here. The cost $10 - I can understand that, they are an older band. It's at a bar that plays top 40 dance music - that I don't understand. I didn't believe my friend, but that is what they are saying on the website. My wife and I and a few friends are going on a pub crawl that night. Guess where our last stop is, this bar - Unionhall. ( www.unionhall.ca )

so has anyone else seen them lately? my concert is finally getting close.....2 weeks from saturday. vince is going to be signing wine bottles at a liquor store here in nashville 2 days before the show. i read that he is coming out with his own line of wine.

im a big fan of motley its way before my time but i love all the older rock bands some of the best songs to me and home sweet home , same ole situation , hell on high heels
