Does anyone know a good web site that will help me examine muscle anatomy? I just started athletic training courses at my college and I have to make 10 muscle anatomy cards a week. This is the assignment:

PEHD 245 Muscular Anatomy Cards
Group #1

Create a 5x7â??? or 5x8â??? Flash Card for each muscle listed below.
The following information should be included on the card:
â???¢ Origin
â???¢ Insertion
â???¢ Action/Function
â???¢ Innervation
â???¢ Diagram of the muscle involved

1. Abductor Hallucis
2. Flexor digitorum brevis
3. Abductor digiti minimi
4. Quadratus Plantae
5. Lumbricales
6. Flexor hallucis brevis
7. Adductor hallucis
8. Flexor digiti minimi brevis
9. Interossei dorsales
10. Interossei plantares

So does anyone know a good website that I will be able to do this research on? It is not in our book and I will need to print out diagrams!

As far as websites go this one is okay:

Gray, Henry. 1918. Anatomy of the Human Body

It might be a better use of your time to get to a library and find some more books on it though, libraries usually have scanners/photocopiers.

Thats what i do when i need anything, sometimes finding accurate info on the web can be hell.

The best book you can get is Trail Guide to the Human Body.

It is the best way to learn the muscles because it not only tells you origin/insertion (which are bogus terms anyway), innervation and action and gives you pictures, BUT it also tells you how to palpate the muscle on a person. That is the absolute most important thing you can learn if you are going into this field. Hands on skills are extremely important.
