The main ingrediant that "claims" to increase testosterone levels is the Tribulus. It is supposed to do this by stimulating LH production in the pituitary gland. LH is the hormone that signals the testes to produce more tetsosterone. From the research that I've read on Tribulus, it does work, but they could not find any products on the market that actually contained enough of the "active" Tribulus. I can't remember if Acetabolan II was in their tests or not.
Here is the product description:
Acetabolan-II is a revolutionary product formulated by MuscleTech Research & Development Inc. This formula contains ingredients shown in scientific studies to support natural testosterone levels. Acetabolan-II may also significantly improve the affinity of androgen receptor sites, thus supporting the anabolic effects of natural testosterone. The main ingredients in Acetabolan-II are acetyl-l-carnitine, tribulus terrestris and a new breakthrough ingredient called ZincTech (a unique blend of chelated zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6). Acetabolan-II may elicit a higher testerone to cortisol ratio, thereby supporting a strong anabolic environment that fosters maximum muscle growth and recovery.
