What music do you listen to when you are at the gym to give you that extra push when u workout, or for those long sessions of cardio on a cut?

I used to listen to very testosterone fuelled music, metal like Black Label Society, Pantera etc.

I stopped the music for a workout just to see what it was like, and since then ive never listened to it again. I have much better focus and drive without the music distracting me.

Whatever bullshit they happen to be playing at my gym unfortunately. I just try to get in the zone, and I don't even notice it. When I worked out at home, anything that I enjoy listening to was game from folk music to techno to metal.

I like Pantera and Full Blown Chaos for lifting but I listen to what I usually listen too anytime when Im doing cardio Montley Crue, Metillica, Nickelback and any country

I have a playlist featuring:

Pearl Jam's "Alive"
Pearl Jam's "Evenflow"
Pearl Jam's "Once"
Pearl Jam's "Go"
Pearl Jam's "Animal"
Audioslave's "Cochise"
Tool's "Eulogy"
Tool's "Opiate"
Soundgarden's "Spoonman"
Soundgarden's "Outshined"

..and a few others I can't think of right now.

Have you seen/heard his first performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival? (1982?)

The one where he gets BOOED OFF THE STAGE!!??!?!!?

For the love of god. WHY!? They played Pride And Joy, dammit!

Anything off Decapitated - Winds of Creation.

Bolt Thrower is good. Nothing technical, or else it's too distracting. It's gotta be pure and simple death metal.

Old School Metal and Hip Hop - Depends on my mood

Angry - Metal :yell:

Happy - Hip Hop :hot:

Indifferent - I mix it up

No, I haven't heard that. I do have the Austin City Limits DVD and a badass live version of "The Sky is Crying" on itunes. IMO one of the greatest blues guitar performances I have ever heard.

Nice! I havent got Austin City yet, ill have to track that one down. Montreux '82 was a typically excellent performance, but the boos get louder as the show goes on. Its the strangest thing ive ever heard, theyre giving a kick-ass show...

Sigh! Some people.

Mudvayne - F*ck*ng Determined This song will keep you going for sure.

Listen to alot of slipknot too.

hendrix and sometimes dance like mylo or dj shadow

I like absolute quiet. No distractions and it keeps my mind on the task at hand and thats it. Whenever I listen to music it makes me think about different things.
